busy little bee...

Feels like summer here!

I'm adding new prints to my shop tonight around 9pm (EST) A small collection of illustrations with bumblebird. We are in the midst of a busy week full of activities, a birthday (Happy Birthday Honey!), and construction. I have to keep the girls out of the way of the contractor as he installs a new vent in our kitchen and finishes projects from last fall. Did I tell you there will be a hole in our kitchen wall? (please don't rain, please don't rain...)

So far, weather predicts... sunny skies ahead!

The flowers are popping out everywhere...which is nice to catch a glimpse of. 

Especially with all the rain we are having! 

But sunshine and lots of it will be here soon...

This week I've been working on a new doll with a chic side bun. I plan to embellish her dress a little bit more, but so far I like her.

It's been a crazy day here...Mina doesn't nap anymore and gets into everything as soon as my back is turned! VERY frustrating. I just found bits of hair that she cut off one of her Groovy Girls. Yikes! I shudder to think what else she has been giving a trim...

It's too quiet again. I better go!

And thank you to everyone that entered my drawing for the red fox. The names were great! So, with the help from my littlest assistant, we have chosen the name...

It's raining and thundering again...and after such a lovely warm and sunny yesterday. Earlier, as I pulled "Rocket" into the drive, I spotted some bright yellow daffodils through the downpour. Yay for Spring!

My husband spotted a red fox crossing our front yard this morning. I love living in the woods, but I have such fears of my children being snatched by wild animals. So far, I've spotted ALOT of deer, coyotes, fisher cats, foxes and bunnies. Most of them are quite harmless, but others are vicious. And I've recently heard there was a black bear sighting in our town...gulp!

I haven't read many fairy tales to my girls, because they are at that age where they are easily scared by the idea of monsters and wild animals. And some of the classic fairy tales can be quite scary! My theory is they were created to keep little kids from wandering away from their homes...

I'll just keep my children on a leash.... ;D
